The aim of The Employment Law Consultancy is to achieve effective, practical solutions to employment-related issues for our employer and employee clients.
The Employment Law Consultancy was formed in 1999 by Sanjiv Ahluwalia LLM (Employment Law) LLB (Hons).
Sanjiv qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and brings with him a wide-range of experience gained in private practice, local government and from five years as the legal adviser to two major oil companies. Sanjiv was the Legal and Commercial Adviser at the Federation of Recruitment and Employment

Services (now known as REC, a trade association for recruiters) and subsequently an Associate Director of Employment Law Services for the JSB Group.
Sanjiv is an experienced consultant acting for both employees and employers across a variety of sectors on a wide-range of employment issues.
He is also a highly regarded employment law trainer and frequently provides training both in-company and to the public. Sanjiv also lectures in employment law and has spoken at national HR conferences and events.

Sanjiv has written widely on legal issues of practical interest and importance to HR specialists, line managers and employees generally. He was the editor for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s (CIPD) recently published Performance and Wellness Manual.
Sanjiv has undertaken work for the Free Representation Unit and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Sanjiv works on a voluntary basis for a local Citizen’s Advice Bureau providing specialist employment law advice to the public. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors. |
